Oh hi! I'm just a weird GenXer who is finally working on a lifelong goal - to become an author.
I'm actually already a professional writer, having spent over 13 years in journalism and public relations, writing press releases, articles, grants, and advertising copy for nonprofit organizations and our local tourism industry.
I chose to stay home with my kids when my second was born, so I started doing some freelance work, and that's what I've done for the last 11 or so years! Now, with both kids in school and a little free time, I've decided to dust off some of those ideas I've had swirling around for decades and see what happens with them!
So about me - I'm married to an insanely creative and intelligent software engineer. We have a little side business making crafty things that we think are cool and then sell to other people who think they are cool. I'm a mom to a teen and tween who are brilliant and sassy. I do lots of volunteer work in our community and at our schools, and I substitute teach when they call and ask. We are all neurospicy and I definitely write with that in mind. There will likely always be a character with ADHD in my books, partly because representation is cool, but also because I know what that kind of brain feels like and not everybody does.
I've always seen the world as a little magical, and I've always believed that love is the most important thing we can give others, so those are the kinds of things I like to write about. My genres are kind of all over the place, but that just means there will be something for everyone. I have several projects in different stages of completion. The one that is closest is a romance that I'm rewriting for a pretty unique reason.
I hope you enjoy this journey with me and my writing. It's probably gonna get weird.
